Knowing the seniors’ deep connection to land, SSS has provided a plot of land for cultivation. The produce, grown free of chemicals and preservatives, is used to supply the centers with seasonal fruits, vegetables and condiments. The success of the Green Land project lies not only in its symbolic purpose and the transformative community spirit, but also in the creation of a Al Mouneh brand that is sold at the centers and at Souk El Tayeb in downtown Beirut to generate income for the Active Ageing House.
Green Land was officially established in 2010.
